The long freeze finally cracks. Ice sighs and loosens its grip; frozen earth softens. Golden light spills across thawing ground, touching pale blues and greens like breath returning. Pale washes flow downward in thin trails, while soft impasto rises gently, catching the first warmth. Hidden layers emerge—roots remembering how to reach, small things uncurling toward sun. Thaw is that fragile, aching moment when cold gives way, when stillness breaks into motion, when what was locked away begins again.
Edges left unpainted and finished with wax. Painting arrives wired and ready to hang.
